A business plan for human beings

Not a pitch deck. Not a forecast spreadsheet. A document you can read on the bus that explains what this site is, who it's for, what it asks of you, what it gives back, and how it stays alive without selling out the people it exists to help.

1. The problem in one sentence

Billions of people now depend on accounts they don't actually own — email, photos, payments, work, identity — and when those accounts lock, there is no human to call, no written decision, no appeal, and often no way to even prove the trail of evidence existed before the lockout wiped it.

2. Who this is for

  • The locked-out. Anyone shut out of Google, Meta, Apple, Microsoft, X, TikTok, a bank, or a government portal, with no human on the other end.
  • The about-to-be-locked-out. Everyone who hasn't been hit yet. The fix is upstream: passkeys, exports, a witnessed identity receipt, a second mailbox.
  • The witnesses. Calm, decent people willing to spend 15 minutes on a video call confirming a stranger is a real human. The Wall is built around them.
  • The amplifiers. Journalists, regulators, lawyers, local politicians who need named complainants and signed letters they can quote and cite.

3. What the site actually does

Today, on this domain, eight things work end-to-end:

  1. Generates a firm escalation letter in 30 seconds — /letter.
  2. Collects testimony/stories, /share.
  3. Petitions per platform/petitions.
  4. Teaches people to preserve evidence before lockout/preserve.
  5. Verifies real humans via a Wall call/wall, issuing a public Verified Identity at /i.
  6. Logs suspicious URLs, SIM/eSIM events, browser hacks/field-reports.
  7. Stands a public register of named complainants/disclosure.
  8. Routes refund / chargeback / regulator complaints by jurisdiction — /refunds, /local.

4. The promise — and the line that doesn't get crossed

  • No mailbox required to be verified. The Wall call gives you an identity you can attach to appeals without handing anyone a new email to lose.
  • Nothing stored from the Wall call. No recording, no document copies. Only a signed receipt remains.
  • No data sold, ever. Stories are published only with consent. Field reports are aggregated, never personal.
  • No vigilantism, no doxxing. Full Disclosure is about our names on the record, not other people's.
  • Not legal advice. Everything points you toward the right regulator, lawyer, or process — we don't pretend to be one.

5. How money flows (and how it doesn't)

What is always free

  • The escalation letter, the templates, the petitions, the Preserve playbook, the Field Reports template, the city pages.
  • Reading any story, signing any demand, filing any complaint.
  • Getting a Verified Identity through a Wall call.

What costs something

  • Donations/donate. The simplest line: $3 from 100 readers covers a month of hosting, filings, and outreach. The founder is currently in the red.
  • Paid services on sister domains — a free upgradeai.net account (verified identity, no mailbox) and paid options on localpayments.io for people who want to get paid under their Verified Identity without a Google or Meta sign-in.
  • Verifier compensation — deferred until volume justifies it; the model is a small per-call honorarium funded from donations and paid-tier revenue, never from the person being verified.

What is refused

  • Advertising. No third-party ad networks, ever.
  • Data brokerage. No selling of stories, identities, or report data.
  • Pay-to-be-verified. Verification is free or it isn't trustworthy.
  • Platform partnerships that require us to soften what we publish.

6. How it grows

  1. Phase 1 — one founder, one domain (now). The whole site runs from one person under a real name in a real jurisdiction. Volume comes from search, word of mouth, and the city pages.
  2. Phase 2 — verifiers. A small directory of trained, named, jurisdiction-listed humans running scheduled Wall calls. Each verifier handles 3–10 calls a week.
  3. Phase 3 — regulator-facing aggregate. Field reports and stories become a quarterly public dataset cited in CRTC, FTC, EU DSA, and Ofcom filings. Named complainants, with consent, are introduced to journalists.
  4. Phase 4 — the law actually changes. Mandatory human review for any account locked >14 days. Account portability. A statutory written decision with the right to appeal. The whole point of the site.

7. What success looks like

  • Any locked-out person in any country can find this site, get a letter, get verified, file the right complaint, and preserve their evidence — in under an hour, for free.
  • At least one major platform announces a published human-review SLA and credits public pressure for it.
  • At least one piece of legislation in Canada, the US, or the EU cites stories collected here.
  • The site can be shut down because it isn't needed anymore. That's the win condition.

8. What will probably go wrong

  • Bad-faith reports — moderation cost rises with volume. Mitigation: structured templates, Wall-call attestation for anything weight-bearing, public receipts.
  • Platform retaliation — accounts of the founder, verifiers, or complainants get nuked. Mitigation: Preserve playbook, second mailboxes off platform, the site itself runs on its own domain with its own backups.
  • Founder burnout — one person can't carry this forever. Mitigation: every page is written so a stranger could take it over tomorrow. Donations buy time to recruit.
  • Capture — someone tries to buy the project, dilute it, or attach it to a partisan brand. Mitigation: refusal is in writing here.

9. How you can plug in today

This page is a living document. When the model changes, the page changes. The version that's wrong is the one that won't update.
